Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Gurusharan, a spiritual companion for daily Sikh practice. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines.
Who these terms are with
These terms are an agreement between you and Gurusharan Simran. You can contact us at shabad.simran.nitnem@gmail.com.
Using Gurusharan
You must be 18 or older to use Gurusharan.
Many features work without an account. Saving your practice to an account, AI Personalized Ardaas and taking part in Sangat need you to sign in.
Scripture and religious content
Gurusharan presents Gurbani, the Hukamnama, recitations and Sakhis with care and reverence. Today’s Hukamnama and its recitation come from BaniDB and SGPC. Gurusharan is a practice companion; it isn’t a religious authority, and nothing in the app replaces the guidance of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji or your sangat.
AI Personalized Ardaas
- The personal part of each Ardaas is written by AI from the request you give and read aloud by a synthesized voice. The traditional sections are fixed text. AI-generated text can contain mistakes — please read and listen with discernment.
- Please don’t include other people’s private information in your request without their permission.
- Creating a personalized Ardaas requires sign-in and uses one credit. New accounts receive 2 free credits.
Credits and Dasvandh
- Credits are bought as one-time packs — there’s no subscription — through the App Store or Google Play, and the store’s terms also apply. Credits don’t expire.
- If an Ardaas can’t be created, or its audio can’t be produced, the credit used is returned to your balance automatically.
- Unspent credits are lost if you delete your account.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google, and refund requests are made to them under their policies.
- Dasvandh is an in-app purchase that supports Gurusharan and helps keep it running for the whole sangat.
Sangat
By sharing an intention, you let us show it to other people using Gurusharan until it expires or you remove it. Intentions must follow the Community Guidelines. Some posts are rejected or not shown by automatic checks, and intentions are hidden automatically after reports, as described there.
Ads
Gurusharan shows ads to keep the traditional recitations free.
Things you must not do
- Misuse the app or try to access other people’s accounts or data.
- Interfere with the app or its servers, or try to get around posting limits or automatic checks.
- Use Gurusharan to harass anyone or to share content that disrespects Gurbani or the sangat.
Ending your use
You can stop using Gurusharan and delete your account at any time.
